Description

The mosaic features a central ivy scroll depicted against a black background with bands of geometric wave designs on top and bottom. Beige, brown, black, and red tesserae color this mosaic. This type of mosaic (with its decorative bands) generally served as a border for larger figural panels that were placed in the center.
